a maritime stopover in the heart of South Finistère.Harbours and slipways on the Breton Riviera
On the Breton Riviera, between sea and river, harbours and slipways are an integral part of the landscape. Here, yachting, maritime tradition and seaside getaways are enjoyed all year round, to the rhythm of the tides and the comings and goings of boats.
Two essential marinas
Port-La-Forêt, a mecca for ocean racing
In La Forêt-Fouesnant, Port-La-Forêt is one of Brittany’s largest marinas. Facing theGlénan archipelago, this modern harbour has 1,130 berths, some of which are used by famous ocean-racing yachts. Famous skippers such as Michel Desjoyeaux, Armel Le Cléac’h and Samantha Davies train here. A legendary stopover for sailing enthusiasts… and a great spectacle for the curious.
Bénodet marina, at the mouth of the River Odet
Situated at the entrance to the Odet, “the prettiest river in France”, Bénodet harbour offers 500 berths on pontoons and 250 on buoys. Nestling between the river and the ocean, it’s a charming port where it’s good to stop off. The harbourmaster’s office welcomes you all year round for advice, services and information on local sailing.
