Ideas for free activities with children on the Breton Riviera

It’s possible to have fun without spending money!
On holiday or at the weekend, we’re often looking for simple, fun and free ideas to keep the kids occupied, so here are a few good ideas to share with the whole family. Playgrounds, shows, interactive walks, treasure hunts… we’ve selected some free activities for you to enjoy with your curious little ones (and grown-ups).

#1 Play areas

Want to let the kids loose between visits? There are plenty of outdoor play areas dotted around the region, freely accessible all year round. Slides, swings, courses, huts… there’s something for all ages!

In Bénodet, Fouesnant, La Forêt-Fouesnant, Saint-Évarzec and Gouesnac’h, each commune offers play areas set in pleasant surroundings, sometimes right on the seafront or next to a footpath.

#2 The booklet-game La Forêt-Fouesnant

A fun walk through the town’s heritage

Set off on an adventure in the heart of the market town of La Forêt-Fouesnant with the “L’Anse de La Forêt” booklet-game! For around 45 minutes, children can discover the town’s emblematic buildings and hidden spots, while having fun solving riddles.

📅 Available free of charge all year round from La Forêt-Fouesnant Tourist Office.

#3 Place aux Mômes Festival in summer in Fouesnant

Every Tuesday at 6.30pm in July and August, head to the Pen an Cap theatre in Cap-Coz (Fouesnant) for 100% free open-air shows tailored to children: juggling, musical theatre, comedy, visual poetry, breakdance…
A cultural interlude full of fantasy, in a bucolic setting just a stone’s throw from the beach.

📅 Only in summer (July and August).

#4 Media libraries read, play, dream

La Forêt-Fouesnant and Saint-Évarzec welcome young readers and dreamers to their media libraries. You’ll find books, comics, games and even a games library in Saint-Évarzec where you can try out new family games.

📅 Open all year round

#5 Moutig Mission Fouesnant

A fantastic treasure hunt in Mousterlin on foot or by bike

Become the hero of Fouesnant with “La balade Moutig”! Investigate the marshes of Mousterlin to find the Three Horsemen, big-hearted thieves hidden somewhere in the countryside.
An adventure game combining investigation, legend and nature, for all the family!

📅 All year round.

#6 The Cidrerie de Kermao Gouesnac'h
